Post by yetiman on Wed Mar 11, 2009 7:14 am

mga pards , ano sa tingin nyo ang mas effective na training to go balls-out-fast sa downhilling? mag-dh ng mag-dh? mag-xc maghapon?
o mag-road?

Ang pagkaka-alam ko, Yetiman, the more you spend time on road riding, the less you get technical, skill-wise.

I think intervals and weight training ang dapat kasi lots of fast and power pedaling sa donwhill. Ang interval training ay train ang katawan to have high volume of air and to recover faster. lower body weight training give more torque and power.

yup, road cycling took away my skills and balls sa mtb downhilling...or baka nagkataon lang coz i'm aging! Embarassed Pero medyo na-gain ko
uli when i went training and joining some races with my team since last year. Tumapang uli baga.

I guess it pays to be with the right guys when you want to learn on something..

Yung friend ko, dati MTB na nasa road lang palagi..when we started trailing all the time, ayun, saludo na ako sa skills nya sa DH..although hindi ganon ka aggressive, pero yung roll-in skills nya sa descent is already superb..mas malayo kesa sa dati..ako? eto, takot pa rin lol! hehehe..

Sir Aquifer:

Sir I beg to disagree na takot kayo bumaba. cheers

As Atty Dave Dequit told me that you are one of the important persons of your company if you get injured while downhilling, your company will be adversely affected. Anyways, Sir, I hope you like our logo.. God speed Very Happy
